Who this is for

Teams that already own a TSC TTP-244 Pro and keep the data they label in Database.

02

Step by step

  1. Install the LabelInn Windows app and your Microsoft SQL Server client driver on the machine that will run the job.
  2. Add the Microsoft SQL Server connection: host, port 1433, database and a database user that can read the tables you need.
  3. Write the Microsoft T-SQL query that returns exactly the rows you want to label, one row per label.
  4. Map each result column onto a label field — text, barcode, QR or RFID — then preview a few rows.
  5. Print the result set, or save the query so the next run is one click.

Practical notes for this pairing

  • At 203 DPI a single printer dot is about 0.125 mm. Size barcodes in whole dots so the narrow bar lands on an exact dot boundary and stays scannable.
  • The TTP-244 Pro prints up to 108 mm wide. Check the widest value your Database data can produce against that width before running a full batch.
  • Connections available on this model: USB, Ethernet (variant-dependent). Pick the one the machine running the job can actually reach.
  • LabelInn sends TSPL-EZD straight to the TTP-244 Pro, so the label your data fills is rendered by the printer itself rather than by an operating-system driver.

Requirements for a direct database connection

  • Direct database connections need the LabelInn Windows desktop app — the connector that loads real database drivers is a Windows sidecar, so this path is not available on macOS today.
  • You supply the Microsoft SQL Server client driver; LabelInn does not redistribute database drivers.
  • Point the connection at a read-only database user. LabelInn reads rows to fill labels — it should never need write access.
  • While you are testing, keep the query small with `SELECT TOP n …` so a preview cannot pull an entire table.

QUESTIONS / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the TSC TTP-244 Pro print labels directly from a SQL database?

Yes. LabelInn reads your Database data, binds the columns to fields on a label template sized for this printer, and drives the TTP-244 Pro over the connection you selected. You do not export an intermediate file per run.

Do I need a driver for the TSC TTP-244 Pro?

For the direct TSPL-EZD path, no — LabelInn generates the command stream and sends it over the connection you selected.
