Set up LabelInn on Shopify: video tutorial

In this video, you'll set up LabelInn on Shopify: install the app, link your account, connect a printer, and turn on your first automatic label.

Install from the App Store. Find LabelInn in the Shopify App Store and click Install. The listing shows the plan and the free trial.

Sign in to link your store. The first time, LabelInn asks you to sign in with your LabelInn account, to link the store. No account? Sign up free on the same page. Shopify then asks you to approve the connection. After that, opening LabelInn from Shopify signs you in by itself.

Open in LabelInn app. This is the LabelInn panel. Top right, Open in LabelInn app starts the desktop app with the same account, or offers the download if it is not installed.

Connect your label printer. In the app, add your label printer. LabelInn searches your network by itself. When yours shows up, click Connect. A USB printer can be added by hand.

The panel lists your printers. Back in Shopify, the panel lists the printers connected in the app, each with a live status: Online, Busy, Waiting or Offline.

Or add a network printer. No app? Add a network label printer and print from this tab, with no app or driver needed. Pick its printer language yourself: LabelInn never guesses.

Follow Getting started. On the Automations tab, Getting started lists four steps: connect a printer, choose your label, turn on an automation, and test it.

Start from a ready rule. Pick a ready rule, like a shipping label for every paid order. It opens with your labels and printers filled in, and nothing is saved until you press Save.

Test it with a real order. Then test it. Pick a recent order, and the panel shows what the rule would do with it. Nothing prints, and nothing is changed.

Labels print by themselves. Each automation shows when it last ran and what it printed. With the LabelInn app running next to your printer, labels print even with the Shopify page closed.
