Everything the video says, in order.
In this video, you'll connect LabelInn straight to your database and print labels from a SQL query, with no exporting to Excel first.
Choose your database. Open Settings, then Database Connections, and add a new connection. First, pick your database: Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or SAP HANA. We'll use PostgreSQL.
Enter the connection details. Give the connection a name, then enter the host, port and database name, and your username and password. The password is encrypted on the server, and it's never stored in plain text on this device.
Test Connection, then Save. Click Test Connection. When you see Connection successful, click Save.
Browse your tables. LabelInn reads your schema, so you can browse your tables and columns straight away.
Write a query, then Run sample. Now write a query. Only SELECT queries are allowed, so printing labels can never change your data. Named parameters, like colon value, are detected automatically. Click Run sample to check the result.
Bind Data → Fetch from Database. In the label editor, click Bind Data, then Fetch from Database. Choose your connection, and the results load as rows, just like a spreadsheet.
One label per row → Print. Link your columns to the label, open Print, and every row comes out as its own label.
Database connections are a LabelInn Pro feature. Get LabelInn at labelinn.com.
