Step by step

Everything the video says, in order.

In this video, you'll connect a Zebra label printer, like the GK420d, the ZD421 or the ZD220, to LabelInn and get it ready to print.

01 / 0:11

Click Add printer. On the dashboard, click Add printer.

02 / 0:15

LabelInn searches for printers. LabelInn searches for printers on its own.

03 / 0:18

Found it → Connect. Here it found a Zebra GK420d. Click Connect.

04 / 0:24

Or add it: choose Zebra / ZPL. Not found? Add it yourself. For USB, click Add USB Printer Manually and choose Zebra, ZPL. For a network printer, use Add Manual IP Address with port 9100.

05 / 0:37

Darkness, speed, media, label size. In the printer settings, set darkness and speed, and pick direct thermal or thermal transfer. A GK420d is direct thermal only, so it takes no ribbon. Then enter your label size.

06 / 0:50

Feed, calibrate, test print. Feed a label, calibrate the sensor, or send a test print from the same screen.

07 / 0:56

Ready, live. When the printer says Ready, you're good to print, from any design, an Excel sheet, or a workflow.
