Numbers that generate themselves
A sequential field increments per label, allocated server-side. A 500-tag run needs no pre-generated spreadsheet, and two people tagging at once cannot issue the same number — the failure that silently corrupts an asset register.

From spreadsheet or database
Import a CSV/XLSX and print one label per row, or point at a table so the register itself drives the labels. Adding a hundred items means re-running the source, not editing a template.
Material matters more than people expect
- Equipment tags — polyester with resin ribbon; survives abrasion, cleaning agents and sun
- Shelf and bin labels — paper or synthetic; replaced when the layout changes
- Cold store — freezer-grade adhesive, or the label lifts
- Avoid direct thermal for anything expected to last years — it fades
Reprinting a damaged tag
Because each label writes an audit entry, a scuffed tag reprints from the record with identical data instead of someone retyping the asset number from a photo.
