Step by step

Everything the video says, in order.

In this video, you'll see every way to bring your own data into LabelInn labels: an Excel or CSV file, a Google Sheet, or a database, and what each one needs.

01 / 0:11

Bind Data: three ways in. In the label editor, click Bind Data. There are three ways in: upload an Excel or CSV file, connect a Google Sheet, or fetch from a database.

02 / 0:22

Excel or CSV: check the preview. For a file, choose the worksheet, keep First row is header on so your column names come through, and click OK, Use It. On the free plan, you can import a file and print its first 10 rows. Every row comes with Starter.

03 / 0:36

Your columns, ready to use. Your sheet appears as a table of columns, with a preview of the rows. These columns are what you bind to the fields on your label.

04 / 0:45

Pick a column for each field. Select a text or a barcode on your label, open its Data tab, and pick the column it should show: the product, the price, the barcode, whatever is in your file.

05 / 0:56

Google Sheets stays live. Connect Google Sheets ties your label to a live Google spreadsheet, so there is no file to re-upload. Google Sheets is part of the Starter plan and up.

06 / 1:06

Or connect a database. For a database, open Settings, then Database Connections, and add a connection. Choose Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or SAP HANA.

07 / 1:20

Write a query, run a sample. Enter the connection details, test it, then write a query. Only SELECT queries are allowed, so printing can never change your data. Connecting and previewing 10 rows works on every plan. Binding and printing the full result is part of Pro.

08 / 1:35

One label per row, then Print. With a source linked, open Print. Every row becomes its own label. Choose which rows to print and how many copies, and click Print.
